It's people like the Koch brothers that are holding back new forms of energy like Fuel Cells. Have you not read anything that I said about Fuel Cell Technology in these forums. You are saying exactly what I have been saying for years now.

We need to start developing all other forms of energy resources before we run out of fossil fuels.

And anyone who thinks that we can burn the amounts of fossil fuels we have been burning and not have an adverse effect on our planet is Crazy. IMHO

We need regulations. Without it our planet and our heath would suffer even more than it does now. I guess you must be too young to remember what the USA looked like before the USEPA was formed. There was a reason we formed the USEPA. And it was started under President Nixon who was a REPUBLICAN for god sakes. Even Nixon new we had to have regulations to protect our water and air resources from the greedy corporations that only care about their bottom line.

We would have Corporations and City's dumping human waste right into the River and Creeks without any treatment and that's not acceptable to me or the vast majority of Americans.
First, You have proven that older doesn't necessarily mean wiser. I know regulations are needed for the country to maintaining healthy air and water quality standards. I grew up in Pittsburgh when it was known as the "Smokey City". I could write my name in the soot from the open hearths on the cars when I delivered papers in the morning. I fished in the Monongahela river for catfish that we couldn't eat because of the oil pollution in the water from the barges. The river is clean and a variety of fish can be caught and the air is clean now because of regulations. That doesn't mean there wasn't alot of pain that the residents of the city had to go through. During the 80's, there was a mass exodus from there because of the Steel Mills closing and good paying jobs were gone. Pittsburgh went from a blue collar town to a white collar town in the last 30 years. We need clean air and water but the government should work with industry towards that goal to mitigate the impact on our economy. Second, why should the Koch brothers be demonized and not the wealthy democratic donors? You want to demonize them but are not saying a **** thing about the democrat billionaires that influence politics even more than the Koch brothers. Your claim that you are just concerned about the environment and big money influencing politics is just a cloak for your partisan rantings. If you were really concerned about it you would take your blinders off and look at the big picture. Look at Michael Bloomburg's $50 million dollar anti gun campaign for example. The Koch brothers are #59 on the top political donors list. I think you have 58 people to demonize before you get to them. Start early the election is in November.
