Mini Vacation Destination

What would be a good lake to get a cabin on and do a little fishing with the family for an extended weekend trip in July?
Kentucky lake, Barren, Dale Hallow, etc. We will fish for about any kind of fish that will bite well and bass of course.

Dale Hollow........night fishing. I did that a few years ago over the 4th and did pretty good.

We go to Big Bear Resort on Ky Lake. Plenty of fish to catch within a couple hundred yards of the dock. I have been with my bass boat and my john boat and either would work well. Good luck.

If you are set up for camping, then COE campground at Green River Lake. Fishing should be good for the kidO's.

There's cabins at Emerald Isle Marina and floating cabins at the State Marina on GRL too.
