Well now that it has been discussed in a public forum, and that is COMPLETE and UTTER insurance fraud, I'd wait until things are settled insurance wise then go after him in civil arena's.
One thing else.........in the future, and obviously it doesn't help you now , but OVER INSURE. I insure for replacement value, and check coverages on my boat and contents every couple years.
I sure hope it all works out for you.

What will be will be I guess I just hope they don't try to jerk me around & I can find something as good mechanicly as what I had. As faras looking great mine did. Lots of folks couldn't believe it was a 95 model. Just want to get it over with, but absolutley will not roll over either. lol I was thinking of going to a 19 or 20 footer anyway as soon as possible, but preferably a nice older 201 or 200 Pro with a newer year model motor,a TR 20 or a nice older Bullet. Guess maybe it will be sooner than later now, but sure didn't want to turn loose the funds right now as I'm getting ready to build a 28 X 32 polebarn garage to park the wifes car & my boat in. You know their gonna try to gig me for sure on the Humminbird. lol
look for some fishing pics that might have the finder in it. Those pics should be enough to prove what you had. What will be will be I guess I just hope they don't try to jerk me around & I can find something as good mechanicly as what I had. Keep looking for the boat. I've seen a few nice ones on this board for sale, and I know a couple guys here who have purchased stellar boats.
I passed up on one a few months ago that was 20ft skeeter 15 yrs old.......only used 3-4 times a year. It was in stellar shape.
You can find them.

Many years ago I was insured by allstae, so was the car behind me.He got hit by a semi, which kept going. I got the smelly end of the stick. I promised allstate if I' ever hit by an allstate driver I'll spend the rest of my life suing them. The agent told me " that's what makes the rates go up" I said I'd be able to afford them after the suites.
I'm very sorry this happened to you...best wishes going forward
Yea good luck man. Insurance companies are a joke.
I've been having some nice conservatations with someone that underwrites for a bunch of different companys & this person is supposedly going to guide me through the process. I also told them today on a recorded conservation by Allstate that I thought I would bring in a marine surveyor & that I definitley had absolutley no problem going to court with my lawyer in tow when they said that we could possibly get into a limit issue with his coverage. Then they said that if it went over the limit of his insurance that mine would pay the difference & they would pay them behind the scenes & both companys said that my rates would not go up a dime because in no way was it any fault of mine whatsoever. Seems hard to believe to me. Anyone have experience with this ??? Thanks
I have a 2001 triton tr20 with 200 Yamaha on it I'm trying to sell. I'm asking $12,500 Sorry to hear about your boat and truck.
Thanks, but I probably will be spending about 2/3 of that.
Maybe Les you will get a good adjuster and he will work with you on your loss. If you have done any kind of work to the engine, boat or trailer in the last year or so have the reciepts ready it will work to your advantage to get what you need out of your boat. Best of luck.
