[CENTRAL KY HYBRID]

How is the bite on the Salt River there. I love that stretch of water there, caught a lot nice fish from there till the city ramp got so bad you could not launch a medium size boat there. That stretch of water has some of the biggest warmouth in the state.

I fish that stretch quite abit..only live a couple miles from it.Your right..The ramp is "BAD"..I would be scared to put anything more than a canoe or kayak or small Jon in there..as far as the fishing goes..this time of year it gets hammered..the best fishing is in December..2 years in a row we have caught some nice crappie & bass.First stringer of crappie I took outta there,I took them by my dads to show him & he thought I was messing with him..next day he found out different..wore them out again..I've fished their a couple of times since the weather has got hot but we waded down the river below the dam..only small ones.

KY river,

I can drive down to valley view ferry in put my kayak on the river at lock 9 in 15mins or so from my house, but never had any luck. any tips on getting fish out of the river?
