Went to Kinkaid this weekend. It had been 15+ years since I had been there. Water color was decent. I don't remember it having that much aquatic grass. From about 10am on there was a lot of boat traffic. Most people were courteous, however it would have been nice for the pontoons to slow down some when passing people fishing.
We marked a lot of baitfish especially in the upper end of the lake. Talked to one fellow in a john boat and he said he had caught 2 fish about 19" each. We caught several small fish and 3 keepers. Biggest was 4lbs on a spinnerbait. From what I could tell the fish were relating to shad on the shallow points. Left at 12:30
I will go back but not until I can idle my big motor. Maybe next year.
When I was there a few years ago the pontoons weren't very courteous then either. Not much has changed.
