My point was that Richard Lugar is saying that he made a mistake based on false and untrue information give to the US Senate by the Bush administration. Heck Bush even made fun of the fact that he could find no weapons of mass destruction. And Chaney is probably still talking about Iraqi nukes riding on missile tips that can reach the Continental USA. If you don't remember him saying or implying that then you were asleep at the wheel.
If anyone thinks that going in and taking Saddam out of Iraq was a good thing then they must really like Iran. Because it the Iranians who are in control of the Iraqi Government now. Do you all remember when we backed Saddam in his war with Iran? Now we are backing Iran I guess. Iran the one Middle Eastern Country that is closest to getting Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction. Of course Pakistan being there already along with North Korea. I guess you all favor nuclear weapons being spread around the Middle East? And don't think that Saudi Arabia won't get Nukes from Pakistan if Iran goes nuclear.
Now after Iraq battled Iran to a standstill years back Iran is in control of the Present Iraqi government. And the Sunni Muslins that were Saddam's friends have taken over most all the Western and Northern Parts of Iraq. Civil war is going on there all because of what Bush did. While I agree that Saddam was a ruthless dictator I despise the Iranians even more. They are as radical as anyone out there and they were the ones who captured and displayed our American Diplomats for almost a year. I watched that unfold on the evening news daily for almost an entire year. They were blindfolded and keep in the dark almost the entire time. We should have declared war on Iran at the time and take them out of the picture. All Iraq ever did was shoot a French Missile at one of our destroyers in the Gulf and almost sink it. But they apologized for that mistake.
Now don't get me wrong here. I was all for Bush Sr. going into Kuwait and kicking the Iraqi's out of that country. But when Bush Sr. sent in US troops including US Military Women he upset Bin Laden and helped to turn Al Qaeda against the US. Before that Al Qaeda was Rumsfeld's friend and we gave them shoulder fired guided short range missile to use against the Russians in Afghanistan.
