It is getting harder to find big bluegills around Louisville. Need to add some big gills to my bait tank. Problem is Waverly, Watterson are getting so much pressure harder and harder to find some decent bait anymore. Anyone have any ideas where to get catch some decent bait fish. Don't need eating size just some big bait that old flathead wants to eat.

Are you having any luck catching flatheads? Biggest one for me this year is 20lbs out of the Ohio River.
Hard to catch any around louisville anymore. The CF have netted the hell out of this part of the Ohio from Louisville down past Brandenburg. You either have to go North outside of Ashland or hunting wv or south to the mouth of the ohio and the mississippi. There used to be alot over 50 lbs in this area now average is 20 lbs and a few big ones found every now and again. My problem is trying to find bait used to go up to Waverly and catch some good size gills for bait (15 at a time the limit) but that poor old lake is being hammered anymore. Lots of small gills but nothing for big flathead to eat. Don't know if Tom Wallace still has any size left or not.
How long is a good size bluegill for flatheads , just wondering.
I like 4 to 6 inch and depending where I am going maybe bigger. Most of the small lakes FINS are getting so hammered this summer seems like there are a lot of 2 to 3 inch but very few over this
