I agree with crappiepappy, pretty much the same stuff that works in the daylight will work at night in a given time of the year. However, having a bass blow up on your top water lure is a thrilling experience at anytime, but it is especially spine-tingling when it happens at night when you can hear your lure working and hear the explosion of the strike, but can't see a thing. I've had especially good luck fishing lucky 13's and jitterbugs at night.

Like said, yes you can catch fish cranking at night. I have caught bass cranking, I like to use crankbaits with loud rattles. I use worms, jigs and buzzbaits most of the time but do throw a crankbait at times.

yes a crankbait can be very productive at times

my favorite is a lucky craft cb-20
use it on any channel swing bank just deep enough to hit the bottom with it

yes 18 bucks is steep for a bait but is like no other very loud rattle n extra wide wabble

    Night time baits

Crank baits work very well at night, I use a constant retrieve rate so the fish can home in on it. But if not throwing something to crank at night its a 1oz black spinner bait with a large colorade blade on it. They really move the water and put out a calling card that fish can find from a long distance.
