"Ice Bucket" challenge

I'm having a little difficulty in understanding this sweeping phenomenon.

I got a bucket of ice. I got a bottle of bourbon. Ice and bourbon are now gone.

I started to drink a little bourbon in the early 50s, grand dad sunny brook, and beam. I also drank seagrams 7 Vo, and CC. Its all booze.I don't drink light beer, anf fruit flavored beer makes me think of old kids and kool aid. 40 bucks a bottle? for booze?
