    Smile memory lane

I drove up to the chicago area Sunday. A child hood friend came back to America from bangkok, we tried to have a "gang" get together, only three of us made it.Most of the guys are dead, a few incapacated, or live to far away. We sat and talked for 3 hours, about relatives, kids, and travel. We all knew one thing though, we are almsot out of sand in the hour glass. We won't see each other again. And we wondered how we managed to still be alive.

    and

My friend dosn't have a car in bangkok, he has a small motor cycle, he said it was a little scary to drive after all theseyears. They were amazed to find out I planned to do a turn around of that long a distance. But the construction didn't happen on sunday, and it seemed the speed limit was raised to 80mph.. But when I started to watch "da bares" lose another one, went to bed. Guess what?

Nice. I try every once in a while to see my old high school friends when I'm back in my hometown, but to be honest, it is getting really hard .

    Later,

Thats a sad deal when you think about it huh? I experienced that a few times...not for the same reasons but still knew I prolly wouldn't see them again. I met my Japanese family once and I was 17 years old. Even then I figured I wouldn't see them again....and I didn't. Some have passed away and the others are to old to travel and I don't plan on going there since it's pretty costly. My American family is small and they are getting fewer and fewer as we all age.
So basically I grew up with one grandmother (American) and even though I had Japanese grandparents I only met them once. Life is precious that's for sure.
