I am guessing he is leaving now so Obama is hoping for the chance of getting his replacement confirmed prior to the November elections. Republicans will likely stall in hopes of preventing that.

He has zero chance of getting confirmed for the supreme court, I doubt Obama would want to go down that road and face the embarrassment of his nominee being rejected.

What about Gun Control? Get a majority in there that always sides with taking away our freedoms and liberties bit by bit and it becomes a problem.

We give up our freedoms for security. I used to have a right to smoke in public, that's gone. I had the right tp personal privacy, folks with cell phones interfere with that.

I know being a Liberal doesn't mean your opposed to firearms or the ability to own them. I know some democrat politicians are not in support of gun control as well......but it's a numbers game with the supreme court. To many Libs and you can get lib outcomes and it goes the same way with conservatives.

IMO....The smoking thing was good and bad. I don't like anyone telling others they can or can't do things if it's doesnt harm others or infringe on their rights. Smoking was different. I love the fact I can go in a restaurant with my kids and not smell that nasty smell. Did it seem unfair to the smokers??? Yes but I felt it was unfair that I had to smell their "freedoms and rights" while I was eating. It stinks and hurts my eyes if the smoke is thick.

Now bars, bingo halls, booby bars and nightclubs should have been left alone with the smoking ban because drinking and smoking go hand in hand. Kids won't be in the clubs and I never plan on going to one of the clubs to enjoy a nice meal either.I don't care for the smell of cig, cigar and some pipes but a blanket ban in lexington was wrong. A good example of the stench of cig smoke.....I worked in Monticello, KY today. It's about a 2-2/12 hour drive from lex and we always stop at the tackle store down there to get a drink, piss and stretch our legs. As soon as you walk in the place it stinks of old cigarettes and I can't be in there long at all. I'm not the only one who feels that way about places like that either.....so I got my drink walked around a little and went outside to get some fresh air. My clothes smelled like smoke when I got home and I was working all day at a Waste Water Treatment Plant. Waste water as in poo and piss water and let me tell you it's rank and can turn your stomach if the wind blows wrong!!

The problem with cell phones is that when folks who are normally inconsiderate have another means of being inconsiderate. I remember being in church and an older gentlemen had a phone call so he fumbles with the phone trying to turn it off and just says crap out loud and takes the call...IN CHURCH WHILE WE ARE SITTING IN CHURCH LISTENING TO THE PASTOR!!!! My gosh some people just don't have a clue.

I just read an article that he has been found in contempt, and MANDATED by a federal judge to provide supporting documentation in Fast and Furious, which he refuses to do.

I believe he may en up in prison......Maybe that is why he resigned. It really doesn't matter though. He, along with Lois Lerner will never spend a day in jail, even though they should both spend a LIFETIME there.

Both will be found guilty, and both will be pardoned by O.
