Kentucky Lake South

For the first time in my life I am going to try fishing for bass on KY Lake South of Paris. I have bass fished the Lake from the dam to 15 miles south of KenLake for 25 plus years and have never tried TN. I have always heard about the "great" grass fishing down there so it's time to try it out and put a ckmark on that item on my bucket list. I am going to be staying at KY Lake Cabins in mouth of the Big Sandy from the 7-14 Oct. any help, guidance or advice on where and what to use would be greatly appreciated. Like I said I heard grass fishing is the best down there this time of year, but that's all I know.

go down a little farther south to New Johnsonville and fish the ledges and shell beds with spoons and large worms.(10 inch) they haven't move into the grass good yet.

Thanks for the tip rooster. I leave next Tuesday. I have not tried spoons on ledges, just jigs, worms and crank baits any particular spoon you recommend? And do you vertically jig them?

Some guys are throwing those massive ben parker spoons, but most guys just use the lake fork tackle or strike king flutter spoons. Most of the baitshops around the lakes will have them

Thanks again, looks like a quick cold front pushing thru this weekend, which might change things, but then warming back into the 80s by midweek, so who knows. Fall fishing
