how about been there done that

These current scares have been with us for years. My parents were scared of polio, for us. they lived through one of the toughest times in america the depression. We had the cuba scare, it was touch and go. Job insecurity, many of us wondered when the ax would fall. Then you reach an age, when you can sit back and look at life.there isn't much you can do to change it. You don't have that much of quality time left to worry about it.Bad memorys are forgotten, good times are magnified. And you can see thne humor and folly for what it is. I know I like to ruffle feathers here, but after awhile you recoganise bullsht , weve walked through acres of it.

Well I can't argue with you seeing that and making it through. I won't compare Ebola to Aids or polio (yet) since polio has killed hundreds of thousands and Ebola to my knowledge hasn't killed that many. Aids was/is a disease that could be contracted by "playing for the other team" or unsafe sex with women who may be infected....yes blood transfusions with infected blood and drug users sharing needles also was a way to get the disease.

i remember the aids scare very well. High school friends who we knew were gay have passed away. Being a little to loose with women at times put a scare into me so I got tested and let me tell you that was scary. Anything that you could possibly be exposed to is scary when your waiting on the test results!!!

The Great Depression is interesting to me....it wasn't great but most assuredly the worst.

Ebola can be contracted by innocent folks who are not engaged with the practices I described with aids. All I'm saying is I would not be flying if I had a choice (wouldn't lose my job over it). I'll let this get worked out or until it gets exposed for how bad it is. Face it the info we get has been all over the place.....I will be cautious like I am with folks who have a cold or flu. I have turned down fishing trips with my buddies if they are sick. I can't stand to not be at 100% so why would I knowingly expose myself to some virus or bacteria that will make me sick??
