It's 1972 in NYC's Harlem area, a police officer pursues a known and wanted felon into a Mosque, his partner, hot on his heels but somewhat back is stopped at the door by thugs while his partner chases the ahole in the mosque. To make a long story short, an officer in trouble call was put out and while other officer's were responding, the lead officer, in the mosque, could be heard screaming as he was beat to death. Charlie Rangel, Elijah Muhammad, Louis Farrakhan along with other "black" dignitaries headed to the scene of this latest racial injustice, among them a young firebrand racist in his own right; Al Sharpton, whereupon they threatened to start a riot if the NYC PD entered the mosque. Well, you guessed it, the PD backed down, the officer's killer's were never apprehended and it remains a black mark on the NYP to this date when they left one of their own to the wolves solely based on racially bigoted threats by so-called black leaders!

Dude thank you for sharing that story as I have never heard it before. I also am not shocked and my bet is that it is indeed true as well. Where can I find this story and how did you hear of it?

This is about the same time frame as Serpico (sp) was accusing NYPD of corruption. Really dark days for NYPD
