Anybody been to Cland, Green, or Barren in the last week? Was trying to make up my mind where to go on Friday or Saturday?
We fished Green one afternoon last week. Temps were low to mid 60's (probably colder by now) and color was mostly clear in the main lake with progressively more color as you neared the main tributaries. Had a few descent takers off main lake points using cranks and caught a few dinks pitching wacky worms next to wood in the coves. Hubby picked up a 40+inch muskie on a spinnerbait but we cut him off because we didn't want to stink up the carpet, darn devil fish.
Green had water temps around 57-59 this weekend and is in full turnover in the area i was in (lone valley). I skunked, broke one fish off and missed another 4-5. Tried a few of my deep winter spots and the fish just arent there yet. Id say youd be better off sticking around main lake points like sweetwater said. Personally ill be driving past green heading to dale this weekend
Headed to Kentucky Lake. Fri, Sat, Sun. Hopefully this time tomorrow, I have 20lbs in the boat.....all on Topwater.
Yea BABY.

Was near Barkley a couple of says ago and stole about 30 minutes to let my son cast off a dock and he caught a LM that went about 2lbs on a crankbait. Might be worth the drive over there. If I had the time I would go back this week with the boat.
I will be fishing both.......

Have fun, and good luck.
