    Barkley in May

Im planning on making a trip to Barkley for some Blue Gill and Redear and would like to get some recommendations on a good place to stay around the Devils Elbow area. Thanks in advance.

I've stayed at the Parkview Cottages a couple of times, which is just down the road from Barkley State Park Marina & ramp.

If you don't mind trailering down the trace, Poplar Creek Lodge is the best and cleanest place around the lakes.

    Katie runs a fantastic joint.

Also, the fishing up on North Barkley for panfish is pretty good. All those shallow, gravelly bays on the LBL side should be stuffed with panfish.

    Later,

    Geo
