Oh big box store, how I despise thee. I'm a sucker for the combo prices for a rod/reel. I've been looking for a 5ft ultra-lite rod to replace the one I recently broke.


The ad that came in the mail today has exactly what I was looking for at 45% off. They've got me. They've captured me. I must buy!! The reel has 8 bearings and the rod is IM6 graphite blank. Customer comments complained about the rod tip breaking off which is what happened to my previous ultra lite but I think it was my fault.


I even got a pair of hiking shoes for Mrs.Tyme and myself. (As if we'll be hiking!!) They are an excellent substitute for tennis shoes.(As if we'll be playing tennis!!).

All that and FREE SHIPPING. Mrs.Tyme's shoes were all that was in stock but that's no big deal since I won't be using the rod/reel for a while anyway. I can wait for the back order to arrive.

I bought two of these little ultralights, like you one for myself and one for my wife. we used them several times over the summer, great little rigs for panfish, but the drag on these little reels will handle a good size fish.
