Waterpoofing a boat cover

My father has a 16 foot bass boat and the cover is leaking some. He is thinking of getting a new boat so does not want to buy a new cover. Does anyone know if there is anything made that can be sprayed on the cover to help stop the leaking? Thanks for any help.

Not sure about boat covers but 3 M makes an aerosol sealant that works great on tents and its only 2 or 3 bucks. In the past My tents used to leak alot in the seams and it worked great for me. You can find in the camping section of most Sporting goods stores.

Only thing I can think of is maby like a boot waterproof spray. I know bass pro sells that.

Cabelas has a roll on gallon of stuff for this exact purpose....about 30 bucks....I have not tried it but plan to next spring...

the tent spray works pretty good, some Wal-Marts
have it, look in the camping supplies dept.
comes in a spray can.

Aqua tight it is a bit pricey but works great. Put it in a pump sprayer and have at it.

I have used the spray I got in sporting goods section at Walmart for boat covers, tents and rain gear. It works great.
