He finally lost his 7 year battle with the evil that is Cancer. I for one loved the guy he made Sports Center fun back in the day. He and Van Pelt were a riot. A true professional, great Dad and a monumental loss for ESPN and the sporting community and of course his family.

Yeah he was a good guy. I was happy for him because he was a sports guy on a local channel back in Orlando before he made it to ESPN...it was cool to see him excel.He finally lost his 7 year battle with the evil that is Cancer. He he had some great one liners on the show and will be missed.

I took him for granted I didn't realize how well known he had become. My wife was watching tv with me and a show made mention of it and she said "wow that guy died?". She rarely watches sports and recognized him. Rest in peace and God bless.
