I guess I wasn't paying attention.....Who was the Senate Majority Leader and who was the House Majority leader back then? Who did the independents "party" with?

Now a few things are wrong with your post...not everyone has health insurance. The deadline keeps moving and I think the new deadline is next Febuary unless your one of the millions who will get amnesty.

You don't like young people being forced to buy health insurance? Why? I thought you didn't like footing the bill for others?

So so far your claim of lower insurance has not been proven to me. Why has our insurance and other small business insurance plans gone up 95-100%?? I pay my daughters insurance through BCBS and it goes up even year. What insurance do you have that's so awesome that it goes down?? Please tell me so I can check.

i will qualify my above paragraph by saying I have not reviewed our new plan yet or my daughters plan since nothing has come back from the insurance companies so my judgments and statements are based on the last 18 years (her age) of rising health insurance costs.

i guess you know that Kentucky has opened up and we can get quotes form other insurance companies?? Before it was closed to specific ones as far as I knew.

The Majority does not always control the US Senate due to the filibuster rules in place. That's what I was talking about. I call it a fact while you called it a game. I had this argument with one of my GOP neighbors and he didn't ever get it. At least you listen and that's appreciated.

I'm not sure how old your daughter is but if she's young enough she can be added to your insurance now. And if you have a pre existing health problem the laws says that the insurance company can't deny you coverage.

Some of the increased cost for health insurance is because now the insurance companies have to meet min standards for insurance coverage. Some in the past paid less for their health insurance but they really didn't have good coverage and were not covered adequately. So that explains some of the increased cost. But overall with more competition the prices should be lowered. That's the law of supply and demand and competition for providing a service helps keep prices lower. That's what my economic class teachers said.

    geez you noticed

All politicians lie. How many times have I said that? But you only seem to hear the lies that 'the purple lipped god"[your quote] said.Like I said. YOU ONLY HEAR WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. But I can understand your dilemma. You listen to all of them. You forgot the first rule of politics belive half of what you hear, not much of what you read, and since photo shop, nothing you see.
