I'm afraid what is on one day is off the next when it comes to the river. Water levels have changed dramatically since Jay's post and the waters still rising. Your best bet now would be to find a creek that runs into the river and get as close to the mouth as I could. Try tipped jigs or if if the drift wood is to bad slip bobbers with minnows in-between log drifts has worked well for me. You can also make your own hole by taking an old treble hook and some old heavy line throw it out move the drift over and tie it off to a root or tree. It will work for a while then just repeat. Hope this helps. Good luck Chuck
Nice tips man! I'm probably going to hold off going up there again since the river is all out of whack. Might try it when water levels fluctuate somewhat. That may be wishful thinking though. Another downer for me is the air temps. I don't do so well when it's below 40 outside. If it's windy it's almost unbearable. But I don't see to many manageable days ahead. So it might take an in-law visit to push me out the door lol.I'm afraid what is on one day is off the next when it comes to the river.
