Does anyone know how the stripers are biting at Lake Cumberland? What is the average length fish everyone is catching? Last time I went a couple years ago was in the middle of the draw down and did not do so well. Bites were kind of lethargic and fish were small.

Planning a trip later this month and was wondering if there is any activity.

Was down there a couple of weeks ago. From what we heard from others on the water fishin been a little slow. We had
four on the first day two on the second. Didn't see the big schools that we usually see this time of year. Stemmed like fish we're scattered. I'm sure it'll improve. Was using live bait on boards in the backs of the creeks. Hope this helps a little.

Usually, we find them from the very back of the creeks to the mid creek areas. I'm hopeful with this brutal cold snap it doesn't shut them down.

Jim the base fish now is between 26 and 30 inches which is much improved. Also there are big fish showing up again with several north of 30 lb caught last year. There was even two 40 plus fish caught in 2014. The lake is coming back and looks promising for sure.

The fish we caught we're towards the of a creek, mainly staying in depths between 30'-50'. Most of the fish we caught were 28"-32". Didn't find any fish back in the skinny water like you do sometimes this time of the year. Hope this helps and good luck.
