The crude from Canada is cheap because it is very hard to refine so there are trade offs. Now that we have that corrected and if you would read my post what I am saying is I want to buy Canadian oil as they do not support terrorism and I ask you to give me one GOOD REASON not to buy from someone who likes us??? Also the price of oil is one thing the transportation price is a different price when we buy oil this price is not the delivered price and it is much cheaper to transport from Canada and Nebraska by pipeline than from the Mid East by ship. or from Nebraska or Canada by rail. It is a much safer way to transport than any other option.

I remember when they put in the trans Alaska pipeline the tree huggers were scared to death that all the male Caribou would be on one side of the pipe and the females on another and we would not have anymore Caribou how ever they found that the Caribou love the pipeline.

I understand what you are saying but I just doubt we would have a better supply of the finished product, namely fuel for our needs, at a cheaper price regardless of where the oil came from... The pipeline simply will not increase the amount of oil on the world market, canada will market their oil whether or not the pipeline crosses the us..
