It's sad that people just jump on the cops because they want to believe crap media reports. This whole uprising has been based on irresponsible reporting and activists who make a living on inciting riots. Facts mean nothing to folks who want to start trouble just because it see,a like a good thing to do.

Obviously this man that went through this has an open mind and is intelligent and he can also admit when he's wrong. All good traits by a normal human being and needed for learning. Now enter the paints on the ground Ferguson run of the mill street hood rat.................This means absolutely nothing and they feel they can burn, rob, beat up, tear up basically anything they want without consequence.

There is a tape out now of the so called gentle giant hitting an old black man and then kicking him like a dog when he is on the ground. The guy is weak and might weight 130 lbs if he was soaked in Crisco. Here is what I think, nothing with ''THESE'' type people will ever change until they get a job, teach and love their kids, quit having babies like its some kind of badge of honor out of wedlock only to disappear after the baby is born and grow the heck up.

I don't care if you are black, white, purple lipped, green, Espanic, Alien or just a cavemen it is a person's responsibility to act right. Inner city thug hood rats are animals. They were concieved on an all night Meth binge and then basically raised themselves with their fellow hood rats so guess what they learned, not much that is good. Change the culture and maybe just maybe ''THESE'' kind of people have a chance at changing for the better.

I did enjoy this video and maybe it will change a few minds but I doubt it.

It all boils down to yes we have the right to peacefully protest and NO we do not have the right to resist arrest or to not comply with a police officers instructions. Regardless of your race or the officers race, anytime you resist arrest, pull a weapon, makes threats towards or fail to comply with an officers instructions you are taking your life into your own hands and you are ultimately responsible for the police officers reactions even if it means your own demise.

A Long, LONG time ago..........30 years ago, I was minding my own business and got into a very serious confrontation with the police. It sent a very CLEAR message about compliance. I almost died that night, and was TOLD by the police officer why I almost died that night.

I worked for a hometown Pizza Joint, and the manager and I were headed downtown to drop off a crap ton of money and receipts to the night window at the bank. It was a GREAT Night and we had a whole bunch of money. Since it was a whole bunch of money, we were being more careful than normal.

We pull out on the road from the pizza place, head down town our normal route, etc, etc.

Next thing we know, we're surrounded by 5-6 police cruisers, and cops jump out EVERYWHERE, guns pulled. We were in a reasonably lit parking lot ( which I think saved our bacon that night), and they start making crazy , SCREAMING DEMANDS. "Hands on the wheel mother bleeper.......get your mother bleeping hands on the mother bleeping wheel".

Next thing I know the dumbass manager is reaching under the seat. He's trying to put the money bag under the seat because all "cops" are dirty, right.

To this day, I'm alive, I think because the closest cop to the passenger window was a GOOD friend of my family, and he PULLED the dumbass Manager through the window, and body slammed his ass to the ground. The manager got a few blows to the face and a little more..........Hell they had no idea what he was reaching for....NONE at all. I don't know if the cop recognized me or not, or maybe my car or something........but something kept him and his buddies from pulling the triggers.......

Fast forward 20 minutes and then a 2 hr trip to the Police Station......

Our story checks out, we in fact have a bag full of money from Pizza X joint, and it seems legit. What my cop friend tells me is that an ARMED Robbery, with two white suspects in a blue ford mustang just occurred at the Village Pantry. That VP is two blocks away from the Pizza store, and that car blasted past us and turned down a different street. Police were in hot pursuit, and we managed to become the target of that pursuit.

In a FLASH INSTANT, I could have died, and been a statistic.

A DUMBASS in the passenger seat almost got me killed.

    I will comply.......ALWAYS.

    Later,

    Geo

Some thing similar happened to me but not as threating. I was driving home from Hockey Practice in Owensboro, KY and was going about 90 mph in my 240Z sports car along the Audubon Parkway heading to Henderson, KY. It was late and there was very little traffic on the Parkway. I did see another car going the other direction with a big median between us. I noticed in my rear view mirror that the car crossed the median behind me and started to come up on me at a high rate of speed. I slowed down from 90 mph to about 70 mph and the car caught up with me pretty fast. The Blue lights came on and I pulled over and stopped on the right side of the road. The policeman approached my car with caution and had his hand on his gun. He checked me out and asked what I was going and I told him about where I was going and where I had been. Evidently I didn't match the description of the person they were looking for but my car did. They were on the look out for a car just like mine as he told me that some one had robbed a bank or something. He let me go on my way after checking my driver's license and car registration. He never even said anything about my speeding. I never felt threatened though. Maybe the guy they were looking for was black or had blond hair as he let me go. I did keep my hands on the steering wheel where he could clearly see that I was not armed or anything. This happened way back in 1974 or so.

SO, you're telling me that if I respect authority, do what law enforcement officers tell me to do, and don't be a dumbass...that there's a real good chance that I won't get shot today, regardless of my skin color?

    Who knew? lol

Geo, that's a crazy story. Very lucky you didn't get terminated right there. Scary, but a clear example of why COMPLIANCE with LEOs is the right choice.

A few days ago, people were marching in the streets, literally calling for the execution of police. ('What do we want? Dead Cops!') Others are standing by today, waiting to lionize the assassins who answer the call. These are not the champions of justice; these are the enemies of civilization, and it's up to sensible people on both sides of the aisle to close ranks and shout them down. If we want to live in a nation of laws, we need to support the humans sworn to uphold them. There is a lot of really great cops out there who have promised to do that very thing, including the one in my family. We'd all be screwed without them.
I support peaceful protests, (without obstructing traffic) and I'm all for rooting out bad cops but let's not stop there. If we're serious about saving lives, and eliminating the confrontations that led to the demise of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, let's also condemn the stupidity that leads so many Americans to resist arrest.
I don't care if you're white, black, red, periwinkle, burnt umber, or chartreuse -- resisting arrest is not a right, it's a crime and it's never a good idea.

life is better with cops than it would be without them, I've been stopped and ticketed by a few in my life, and I've been stopped and let go without a ticket a couple times. I never talked backed to an officer, I new when I was pulled over I was guilty of speeding and was getting a ticket, I had a cop to really make me think he was going to shoot me once. I got behind a police car and followed it about 5 miles running about 35 mph, it was a 45 zone but was curvy road. he gave a right turn signal and was off the road except for his back bumper, it was a short passing zone, it was clear so i cut over across the yellow line and passed him, he backed back out the drive and ran
me down, I pulled over and as he walked up to my door, I asked him what did I do wrong, and he went crazy, told me to shut up, and I said again sir all I asked was what did I do wrong and he got right in my face telling me to shut up, if i didn't want to go to jail, I just looked at him and he asked do you hear me, he had me so mad I didn't answer him, and he shouted at me again do you hear me. I never had a bad feeling for a cop in my life, but I wanted to punch him so bad, I could really feel his head against my fist. but I'm glad I didn't he was crazy jerking and shouting, for no reason other than passing him in a passing zone, but didn't wait for him to clear the road. he would have shot me in a heart beat and probably said I tried to take his gun. after I said I hear you, he walked back to his car and pulled out. there are cops that need to be watched, and this was one of them.

You bring up a good point. Just because you go to school, train, and put on a badge doesn't mean you are automatically granted "good guy" status. There are ******* police officers and military just as there are civilian. I'm all for weeding out the bad law enforcement officers too. I hold the belief that most people, be it civilian or otherwise, are inherently good. Unfortunately, the bad ones give the rest reason to be suspicious of all. Anytime we're talking about human-to-human relations, lines get blurred.

Don't break the law and don't disobey orders from a LEO and 99.9% of issues are resolved.

I have been pulled over several times for safety checks because I drive a commercial vechile. My windows have very dark tint. Before that officer gets to my door those windows go down and my hands are on the wheel. Whatever conversation goes on between us my hands never leave the wheel. If my hands leave the wheel for license or whatever I inform him of a weapon usually on my person. Never had a problem. I had one inspection that I had to get out of truck to show fire extinguisher and triangles to officer, after getting back into truck and receiving a warning for 2 nonworking marker lights he said where is your firearm? I told him in my front pocket, a 5 shot 22 mag revolver. He asked to see it and was amassed that after knowing I had one on me he couldn't spot it. He returned it and told me to have a good day.
