Crankin stick from bps

Alright guys so I try to add something new to my arsenal every year. Either a new bait or new technique. This year I want to try to master deep cranking. I have some deep divers but I don't really have a setup to handle these big guys. I'm wanting to get a rod for these but don't want anything that will break the bank. Like $70 and down. I just can't make myself spend that much money on anything other than worm/jig rods where you need to feel those small bites. Thanks.

Bass Pro Crankin Sticks are definitely a good option. Their Spring Classic sale is coming up in late February or early March so you might be able to get a decent deal on one then. I would recommend one at least 7'6" (preferably longer). It really helps to get as much distance on the cast as possible.
Thanks guys. I have a older series 6'6" medium crankin stick for my square bills and medium divers. What power and action would you recommend for the deep divers. I'm thinking medium heavy with a fast tip?
The 7'6" Lightening Rod medium heavy action would be a option for the price range your looking. I used them before I switched to the Duckett Ghost Rods.
I prefer a moderate action medium heavy rod for those crankbaits. Unfortunately, after looking at Bass Pro's website, it seems that they have raised the price of their crankin sticks. Anything 7' or longer is over $80. That's a little steep for those rods in my opinion. Good luck on your search!
