Those same folks earning your "higher wages" on the upstroke are paying more for stuff on the downstroke. Those same big companies (owned by investment firms) may also elect to ditch the old employees in favor of new ones they can pay at lower wage...thus a nice 1-2 punch of increased margins for their bottom line.

Eliminate free will, consolidate into nationalized corporations, and let the government control wages...sounds nothing like America to me.

It seems you disagree with some others on the board that to think "trickle down" is the next best thing to sliced bread... companies will pay the lowest wage they can get away with... Having said that, how many mom and pop businesses you know that pay better than food stamp wages... they don't because they can't.... companies will pay what the labor force demands or go belly up if they need employees to stay in business... Like I said before, if you are a company that pays below gov assistance wages, you are part of the problem...
