Just replace "your employees" and "are a small business" with "those that have minimum wage jobs" and "didn't bother to further yourselves" to get the exact same premise. I have two fellow employees, both who get Medicaid benefits. One just purchased a 2014 vehicle, only to crash it not 30 minutes after buying it. The other's husband came through yesterday - driving a nice new mini-cooper. I drive a 2004 vehicle. Go figure. Why better yourselves when you can just get a check that allows you to buy nice things? It's a no brainier really. All of us who go to work day after day are the morons.....

i have seen such things also, don't know how some manage to do these things but it is by no means the norm... Most people who qualify for gov assistance struggle from what I have seen... There are those who are losers and game the system, I could care less if they take benefits away from these losers, that is not what this thread was about... If you work a full time job you should not have to feed your kids with food stamps...

It is amazing to watch these folks buy up goodies when the're so "poor" they cannot afford food.

I understand that it is much harder for small businesses to increase their pay scale but if you can only afford to pay food stamp wages then maybe you are part of the problem... not sure why the rest of us should pay part of the support of your employees simply because you are a small business.. In our little town there must be 4 or 5 businesses mowing yards, here mostly they pay school kids to help them and I don't have a problem with that, school kids aren't having to provide a home and support for a family... I'm sure 1 or 2 businesses can provide those services and be in better shape to pay a better wage if they needed full time employees...

I would like to know how many scam the system.....my figure would be much higher than yours. I say this because in my life I met ZERO people people who fall into your question. I have met many more who scam the system!

I have a particular family member........not brother, sister, mom, date, etc, etc, but close enough. This person worked in a UAW plant for 15 years.

* Then they started to "complain" and make noise about a repetitive stress issue.
* Then they systematically started down the path to gaming the system.
* At family functions, folks would talk about how such and such was working it.
* Then they'd talk about how to stay on it.

This person who has a "repetitive stress" issue, and can no longer work in their job, has been on 100% disability from Chevy for 15 years now. They are now on Social Security disability so you and I get to pay for their lies........

Funny thing........this person can spend all their days on the Lake......Purty northern Indiana Lake. No wheelchair, no walker, no cane..........just their rod and real and 19 ft deep v lund.

They all worth together to "scheme" they system. Hell I think the freakin union halls actually have classes on how to stick it the the "company".

Yea, SCREW them all..........I saw my share of this garbage growing up.

Left or right, ceo's are a disease that has been growing for the last 30 or 40 years with no hope of a cure.... Trickle down has no political bias, it allows all businesses to funnel assets from the bottom to the top and has for a good many years under the precept of businesses prospering will somehow not find its way into the bank accounts of those at the top and nowhere else.. Has worked about as well wings on pigs... Unions have a bad side which I have never denied but along with the weakening of the unions comes the economy we are constantly whining about, again 2x2 never equals 4... Being responsible for ourselves doesn't seem to be working very well does it..

If a CEO takes a company from a 30 dollar stock to a 150 dollar stock, on HIS VISION and HIS leadership, you're **** straight he's worth every single penny the shareholders and the board choose to pay him.

Why do you suppose one particular athlete can generate a 30 million dollar contract and the other can generate a 3 million dollar contract? YOU know the answer. It doesn't matter if I think they are both over paid. The DEMAND is there for what they provide, therefore if you have to pay 30 million dollars to get his services, you pay 30 million dollars.

Does anybody here believe cutting those taxes did not lead to the debt boondongle we have today, if you do. look at the top tax rates before and after reagan... trickle down was a sham that only benefited the wealthy.

Does anybody remember what Bush1 referred to trickle down as?
31 percent: Top tax rate in 1991
50 percent: Top tax rate in 1986
70 percent: Top tax rate in 1980
91 percent: Top tax rate in 1963

The problem with your chart is that we're now in a situation where people don't work. We have 41 million families that don't pay federal taxes. IN fact, you and I pay them on average about $4000.00 EACH. lets see 41,000,000 * 4000.00 ****, that is one freakin gigantic number.

That my friends............is about 164 BILLION dollars given to dumb **** sum bitches for making bad decisions.

Now lets, enforce some federal tax collection on those jokers.......say 10%, which is a whole hell lot less than it was under Reagan. That 10% would be a nice number too.....about 80 Billion.

If I would have stuck with a no where job, I wouldn't have been able to send my kids to good schools, and help with their college education. Who said it was wonderful I implied it was good steady work. We have guys here making darn good money with nothing more than a high school education and a couple without one. They are actually working every day to recieve a pay check and support themselves and their familes. They drive nice vehicles and have homes and live pretty good but guess what duffus they worked for it and it WASN'T HANDED TO THEM.
