    S.N.A.P. aka food "stamps"

Let's help the poor and the U.S.P.S at the same time.

The U.S.P.S. will ship to each qualifying household on a monthly basis the following:

    One bag of flour
    One bag of dried beans
    One box of powdered milk
    One block of butter
    One block of cheese
    One sack of rice.
    One can of lard
And just to be extra nice, one bag of sugar.

    No more ETB cards

Actually I wouldn't have a problem with commodities.. less opportunity for fraud.... according to the powers that be, it is supposedly more costly than food stamps...

Sad.........and actually the advanced find is not quite that hard to use......even a caveman could use it.

Now, I'm not calling you a caveman, or associating you in any way to cavemen.....

I'm just pointing it out......just so you don't say I called you names in a post 6 months from now.

    Later,

Mark, thanks for the support but I can fight my own battles. It's ironic considering the e-mail I sent to you to "chill out and not let this stuff bother you."

I prefer to visit this site to learn new fishing./boating techniques and share the same and let others argue about the current affairs and political nonsense.

I listen to talk radio while driving and just have to turn it off when the politicians from either side spew their lies. Notice I said both sides.

REWARD OFFERED: If anybody can find where I said "I could care less if we have starving people as long as they don't bother me..." I will send you funds necessary to purchase your favorite adult beverage.

I'm a man of my word. Find that post and I'll honor this offer.

My old brain pan isn't what it used to be but I don't recall EVER saying "we can have starving people as long as they don't bother me." ??

I'm sure Geofisher could find what the current expenditure is for SNAP but I'm attempting to make a simple point. SNAP is rampant with fraud. That's all I'm saying. SNAP is rampant with fraud.

It galls my butt to read about all the ATM SNAP withdrawals at casinos, race tracks, fancy hotels, etc. Definitely places where a "poor needy" person shouldn't be using food funds.

Shipping commodities to the poor would feed them and stop the fraud. Is it practical? No it's not.

Would it be more costly? I don't know, but it's my simple opinion the extra cost could be absorbed by the decrease in fraud.

There would be nothing to prevent the recipients from selling these commodities on the open (black) market. That would be a win for me as I'd be able to purchase black market rice, beans, etc at a much discounted cost than what I'm paying at the market.
