So I have been traveling and fishing St Clair for a few years now and 2 years ago a buddy gave me some hand dipped tubes that were phenomenal.
I mean, these were soft/stinky/ pieces of crawfish chunks in the package and caught fish at least 5 to 1 from all the others we had fished. I used my supply and went on a search to find out who made them and where I could get some more.
I didn't have a company name only a contact person and no number.. To make a long story as short as I can, I used some resources and located him and his number. He owns a company called. HOOK SOME BASS. Apparently this was a huge organization down at Ky lake area and over the years it was thought that they went out of business due to rumors and poor marketing.
In my search for them I found tons of sites and people asking about his lures and tubes but everyone thought they were gone forever. Come to find out, he makes jigs, shakey heads, soft plastics and spinnerbaits.
Apparently his spinnerbait and tube product line are his bread and butter lures. I haven't tried the spinnerbaits yet but I can attest that his tubes are the softest/ most stinky on the market and kick butt.
He is in the process of building a website and getting all of his products listed and is more than willing to pour custom tubes for anyone interested.
I told him I would let you guys know for those that know his product that they are still available and for those that want to try them out.
His name is Walter Walden and his number is 606-305-4076http://www.fishin.com/forums2/image/...AASUVORK5CYII=. His company is Hook Some Bass, and if he doesn't answer just leave him a message and he will get back to you.
No I am not on the payroll, no I don't get discounts, No we are not related, etc.
If he can build his company back up he may try to become a sponsor/ vendor on Fishin.com, and I just think that the little guy with the best product ought to get a shout out.. he has 3.5 and 4" tubes. as well a plethera of other baits and lures.
Google the company and you can see the numerous people out there trying to locate and find his baits.. There is a reason for that!! and I just figured I would throw it out to you guys to maybe give him a try

Funny thing is, first time I used them on the very first tube, I couldn't get my jig head all the way up in the tube.... I was getting ticked off until I squeezed it out and her came part of a craw tail in my hand.. I was hooked.
The guys lives around Somerset / Monticello area and if you ever fish Cumberland or Dale Hollow.... Well lets just say Chamelion Craw is the way to go... He will also mix custom colors for you if you want. Just FYI

They are the best spinner baits that i've ever thrown. the cabin bait and tackle down at Katawa used to sell them, not sure if they still do though .but i sure would like to have some more of them.
I, too, used to buy these baits down at the Cabin. I think Dave Stewart used to recommend them, too - which is how I found them. Love his spinnerbaits and plastic brush hog baits. Last couple of times I was in the Cabin or that area, I wondered what had happened. Glad to see he will be back at it online!
