After my good trip last week, I decided to take my oldest boy over there today. The wind really was kicking our butt trying to fish that finesse stuff I fish in the winter but the fish when you could get over them were biting. We again had 9 as we did last week. However, unlike last week, we lost a bunch of fish. Had at least 12 either break off or pull off. It could have been a really epic trip as many of those felt very nice. however, I can't complain. Out of the 9 boated, all were smallies. the smallest was 17". The others were in the 18-20.5" range. And we had one toad that was over 23". This was the biggest I've caught in KY/TN ever. I caught one about that size up north 10 years ago so it was a long time coming. About half the fish today were caught on the shiners and most that were missed were missed on the shiners. I'm not really good at that obviously.
I ran into a couple gents at the ramp this morning that mentioned my post last week. If you see this and have an account, PM me and let me know how you did.
Thanks,
