"I tell you what, I've been in combat. I've seen it. I've been close to it. And if my unit is in danger and I got a captured guy and the guy knows where the enemy is and I'm looking him in the eye, the guy better tell me. That's all I'm gonna tell you. If it's life or death, he's going first."As noted above, and contrary to his statement, O'Reilly has never been in combat.

But to those who think fox news is the halo wearing news forum, it seems their viewership are perfectly ok with accepting lies from them as standard procedure... Most of us expect more from legitimate news sources and less from the fox newses of the country and that is generally what we get...

The big difference I see here is that O'Reilly immediately retracted his statement. Even in the clip he retracted it. Williams has not only told his stories, but he continues to tell the stories.

I've never, not ONCE heard that O'Reilly considers himself a combat veteran.
