ELKHORN CREEK LOCATION MAY BECOME FRANKLIN COUNTY PARK

A bend on the Elkhorn Creek off of 127 North could become Franklin County’s newest park.
County planning officials say the location, once the site of a bridge along Old 127, reverted to county control when the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet built the existing road.
County officials say they hope to clean the area along the bank up while offering a needed public access to the creek.
