    It should be nation wide..

I think it should be nation wide, where different states have different gun laws, and anyone traveling across country, crossing state borders could end up in trouble, for no reason other than trying to stay safe. when traveling a persons car can break down, and it could be miles from a town or home, and there are folks out there that would stop and rob and or kill you. if you have your equalizer with you, your odds on getting your car fixed go up.

    SAME

I agree, something as important as carrying a concealed weapon should have a national minimum standard. States would be free to implement any additional standards suited to their own circumstances as long as they didn't impair the rights of ALL citizens of THE COUNTRY from enjoying the right to carry. For those that haven't noticed the trend, the gun nuts lost at the national level so now they're going about it at the state level and you'd be surprised of some of the states that have fell for it. A case in point, one western state, under pressure from the Brady and Gifford's groups, enacted legislation that restricted possession to even those arrested for a so-called violent crime (includes simple assault etc.) they force the confiscation of weapons, etc. State level legislatures, for the most part, blow with the wind, the individuals elected are weak willed and do anything to appear for the people.

I really don't care what each state says. If I'm traveling by automobile I will have a handgun with me and it will be loaded. The same applies to fishing in the boat. If I get in trouble for it then so be it. Obviously this doesn't apply to flying because it is such a pita to get a handgun through security.

I do the same while traveling and I hope I never have to deal with the legal system for breaking these laws because we will not win.

My opinion is that if I ever get in trouble for carrying in a state that doesn't honor KY concealed carry, it will be because I had to use my gun to protect my life or the life of a loved one. In which case, I'd rather be a lawbreaker than dead.

I was pulled over in Georgia for speeding in a construction zone (go figure) by a Tift County Deputy Sheriff once. I was nice and told him up front that I had a handgun in the glove box. He thanked me for telling him that and didn't ask for a cc permit. He ran my license and the plate then came back and said he was not going to ticket me if I would promise to obey the speed limits all the way to the Florida line which I did.

If each state makes there own gun laws and you qualify in your state to have a CC permit then I think all states should honor your permit.
