Season is almost over for me. It picks back up about November.
For me, it is finding new places to fish. Moving full time from southern Indiana to BG has had its ups and downs. Definitely going to fish barren river and some other small places. Cant wait!!
being healthy enough to fish again after knee reconstruction. Going after personal bests in every species every time I set out. Bass and Crappie early spring and big gills and cats late spring.

Just had my shoulder operated on Friday , I'll be down 2-3 months . I'm wanting to try the night bite at Cumberland . Every year something keeps me from going. I hope the bite will still be on when I'm back on the water in late April.
I'm excited about a chance to take a few hand tied jigs and meeting some friends at the headwaters of Nolin for some white bass action. Plan B will be the Salt River for the same . hopefully the timing will be good this year before they close the access road on the Salt River .
I am pumped to start checking under rocks and logs for a monster catfish that wants to rip my hand off when it enters its den. I am also pumped to watch my buddies scream like little girls when a big one bites them. You wanna talk about a fun day. Go noodling with some ppl that have never done it before. Be sure to stay in shallow water when they find that fish though. You wont be able to stand up from laughing so hard. Last year I took my buddy, we found the fish for him, when he touched that fish under water back in a hole he lost his mind. He was screaming so loud and the rest of us were laughing so loud some woman up on the hill came down to check on us. She said it sounded like someone was being killed lol.
