A guy told me last week it was froze up to the 31E bridge. The lake has came up 12.3 ft since then so I'm no sure if it would be frozen sill or not. I'd guess that ice would be somewhere unless the water running in the lake melted it.

Don't know about Barren, but went to C-Land this past Sunday and caught several fish, but lost a bunch of fish also. Fished a shaky head all day in the back of the creeks around Jamestown. Water tem was 38-40. If you caught one you could get a couple more in that area. The fish did not seem to be that deep. Caught them on wood and brush just stick out of the water.
Hope this helps.

If you all don't mind me asking, what do you like to throw at barren this time of year though later march? Will be going down there in not too long for a tournament! Thanks in advance! Drew
I took my kayak out on barren river lake today! I went to the peninsula unit and put in at the old boat ramp on the back side of the parking lot. There was a very thin layer of ice scattered throughout this area but it was melting fast. Water temp. was reading 36 degrees on the depth finder. Water clarity was maybe an inch or two.
