    Taylorsville headwaters

Did some adventuring today and checked out the Palmer road access on the river. Concerned about this year's white bass run after seeing this today. I know it's still early but that's a lot of water that has to be flushed out of there.

Thanks for posting. I was planing on checking it out myself next week. I may hold off a while now... Question: When is the last time they really had a GOOD White Bass run on the Salt River? We used to kill em down there, but no more. I haven't seen a good run over there in over 5 years, and yes I fish it every year.

What is and has been the problem?

I've noticed a decline in quality fish the last few years as well. I'd say it has alot to do with the pressure people on it each year. Poor spawning years due to high water? Last spring we probably caught 100 fish a day but out of the 100 you would be lucky to have your limit of keeper fish. The numbers are definitely there but not the size. I'm used to keeping the 14-16 inch white bass bass at nolin. Tvilles average "keepers" are about the 10-12 inch range. It just seems the fish aren't as healthy at tville. If anyone else does any better down there chime in.
