    Green River Lake Crappie

Headed to Green River Lake this weekend to do some crappie fishing, water is high almost 10' above summer pool so it's gonna be challenging. I got all the structure locations off of the KDFWR site and downloaded to my Humminbird. I usually troll jigs but I am betting that this is not going to produce much in these conditions. Anybody have some experience fishing for crappie here? Especially is bad early spring conditions? Would appreciate any tips.........

The water will still be high this weekend but it will be falling fast provided Fridays rain is minimal. The rain we got late Wednesday night and so far on Thursday has been very minimal. The COE has finally got the approval to open the main gate a pretty good amount. If my memory is correct a wide open gate setting is 2.4 or 2.7. On Thursday they cranked it open to 2.0 Based on what I saw for an inflow the lake "should" fall well over a foot per day barring no huge inflow of water. I really want/need to hit some water this weekend. I noticed Lake Cumberland is only 4 ft over summer pool and on a slow fall...I think I will hit Cumberland Saturday

If you look on the GRL Facebook page they have 2 videos of water coming out of the dam. One is at the discharge and the other is at the ramp a couple hundred yards down stream of the discharge.

All I have is a water report from the COE FB page. I rarely crappie fish but fish on Green several days per year for bass...if you go can you post an actual water condition report.

It ain't a PDF, but here's the attractor map from the KDFWR site : https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer...8.k16Yh91IjQvw zoom in with your mouse's scroll button and left click on any attractor icon for it's GPS coordinates. There are around 100 of them ... I know, because I manually entered every one of them into my unit, sitting on my couch ... LOL !! When I went there to test their accuracy, my unit took me right to them !!
