Alabama Rig Regs for KY & TN

I remember hearing about certain regs on the A-Rig in TN. Can anyone help me out? Headed down there this week and would love to sling it around some if I can.

We fished The Chick a couple weeks ago (without much success). The way I understood it, there's no limit to the number of arms it can have but you're limited to three hooks. Additional arms can be utilized as teasers with hookless soft plastics or willow blades on a swivel.

That is my understanding as well. Only three baits may have hooks. In Tennessee waters on Ky lake I use a five arm umbrella rig and I cut the hooks of two older jig heads that I superglue used swimbaits onto and throw.

    a rig in Tn

You can only have 5 arms,5 baits, only three can have hooks rig can also have spinners. so a Yum flash mob jr is legal. I just fished two Bfls down there and these were the rules they gave us.

You can have as many "lures" that you want, but only 3 can have hooks. You can have more than 5 lures!

    Go Home!

Unless Im catching multiple 5lbers on EVERY cast, Ill just go home if I had to deal that concoction. That makes my head hurt and forearms hurt just looking at it. You would need at least a 200 to troll that thing. LOL!

what is the A-rig regulation in reciprocal waters?

If you're in TN, but in the reciprocal water area with a KY license, are you limited to 3 hooks?

If you are in the reciprocal area: In Tennessee waters you abide by Tennessee law....if in Kentucky water you abide by Kentucky Law...there is no reciprocal on the game laws, just licenses.

i was stating BFL rules what they gave us, the Tenn rules are confusing a lot of people, even some guides are perplexed, lol a lot just throw 5 baits with three hooks to be safe.

True...no real reason to throw more than 5 anyway, IMO.
