Tough fishing on Barren when theyre pulling the lake?

I fished this Sat caught a few but over all it was tough, anybody know why Barren gets so tough when theyre pulling, KY lake gets good when they pull. Whats so different and what adjustments does a bass fisherman need to make to find them? any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm baffled.

I fished Barren as well Sat we had 3 fish and finished 3rd in our tournament I have a friend that lives on the lake he caught a bunch of fish Friday but not very many keepers I fished all over the lake deep, shallow, points we couldn't get bit I lucked up and caught a keeper on a jig off a channel bank I'm pretty sure I hit him right in the face that was the only jig bit I had all day long
