What Would You Throw #1: shallow, weedy, and stained

I thought I'd start a recurring thread on different conditions and what everyone would pick to throw for largemouth bass in a certain situation. Feel free to start #2 or I'll add another in about a week.

Here's the conditions: Early spring on a stained water lake. Water temperature is 50 degrees. Air temperature is 60 and cloudy after a recent warmup. The cove you are fishing is 6 feet deep and slopes up to the banks. Bottom is clay and covered in dead weeds.

    What would you throw?

Agree a square bill, chatterbait or a Shad Rap would be my 3 lures of choice

Depending on the type of lake........I might throw a red eye shad........looking for a GIANT. Now, I wouldn't rip the bait by no means, slow rolling, and hang on.

Second would be Jig.....you can never go wrong with a jig.

3rd, would be a spinner bait.

Half ounce jig and second spinner bait with hammered Colorado blades. Colors would be picked by just how stained the water is.....

Three or four large and alive nightcrawlers together on a 4/0 hook with no weight. Quietly pitch or dip them into every piece of cover available and hold on.

Maybe a little but if you catch and release there's no harm done.
