Here is a crappy cell phone picture of Holmes Bend on 4/15 Click on picture to enlarge it.

If you look in the center of the picture you can see a telephone pole with the security light and the roof of the building where you pay your launch fee...that's in the lower parking lot. You can see that the 2nd parking lot is 50% full of water. I took the picture when I was sitting in the third parking lot.

According to the COE chart, Green is 12.4ft over Summer Pool (as of this AM) and rising ... and I heard it's "projected" to be 20ft over Summer Pool by this weekend. All things considered, I think you'd be better off going to Cumberland, Barren, or even Cedar Creek ... depending on which one is closest to your area. Otherwise, I think I'd postpone the tourney until sometime in May.

It rose 3 more feet in the last 24 hours. The COE reported the level at 690.5 at 8 am on 4/16...we are currently having a pretty good downpour as I am typing this. The record high of 705.2 that was set in 1979 might be in jeopardy if there is much more rain in the future. Based on how the lake rose from Wednesday's light rain and then adding in the good downpour we are currently getting I can easily see the lake rising 7-8 more feet.

Its supposed to peak near 20ft over summer pool this weekend, but then we have a 100% chance of rain sunday and 80% monday. Its gonna take a good dry spell for them to get it back near summer pool
