Anglers of Central Kentucky,
I'm fairly new to fishing large lakes........ and I suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck at it.
I spent 4 hours on Rough River this morning and struck out completely. I threw a square bill and deep lil N. Flipped a paddle tail worm and drug a Biffle Bug. I spent my time off a main lake point near Axtel and a small creek arm mid lake.
The water is 12 feet above summer pool an might still be rising... I'm guessing that might make the bite turn off a little bit.....
I ran in to a couple of guys who were having luck throwing t-rigged lizards in grass....
Where and how are you catching em?

man don't be discouraged. bass are on beds or post spawn right now and VERY hard to catch. The high water just makes it worse. Hang in there. Fished Nolin tourney today against some good fisherman and everyone had a tough day. The larger the lake the harder to catch (kind of) but the same principles apply. Don't give up.
