What I feel is an alarming trend

I agree 100% also. It has gotten out of hand. Maybe the KDFW should be contacted to see if a limit can be imposed.
These turney fisherman may have tied a lot up in a boat etc but I fail to see how that impacts anything. Afterall, it is there choice. There are a lot of very inconsiderate people out here, ot just on the water. Brings to mind a story a frind of mine told me a few years back. He was duck hunting during the early teal season in sept when a guy came right in on his decoys where he was hunting. He asked the guy if he saw the decoys and the camo boat etc and how about giving him a little room to hunt. The guy replied that he fiqured he has a right to fish wherever he wanted to to which my friend promptly stood up and informed the guy that he had a shotgun and the guy had a fishing rod and which one he thought would win that argumnet! The point here is that sometimes you just have to get your point across.

Just start fishing tx's and you'll understand. Hahaha. Seriously not everyone is like that. I will call out a fellow tx competitor in a heartbeat if he's acting a fool. Drives me crazy.

In my opinion this is what happens when you change something that used to be primarily a hobby into instead a competitive sport. For many a persons love of outdoors and wildlife was as much a part of fishing as anything else. The quiet of being on the water, the sound of a bird or animal occasionally breaking that silence. Many fisherman have a real passion for the process and all the small slow details that go along with a day fishing but much of that is getting lost when the focus is solely on speed, numbers and winning. For myself one of the most fun moments when catching a fish is using light enough tackle to give him a fighting chance, playing him a little and then landing him. Of course there is nothing wrong with those that prefer a different approach but IMHO when using the heaviest tackle and motor boating a fish across the surface in a race to get him in the boat as fast as possible only in order to go on to the next one as fast as possible you lose something. It is no wonder so many people now bully their way past another fisherman or show little to no respect to others who are fishing near by. Since they themselves are overlooking much of the simple joys that come from a day on a lake why expect them to even understand or appreciate what it is that they are interrupting for someone else. I always viewed one of the great benefits of fishing was being able to just slow down and get off of life's conveyor belt for a few hours, away from people, phones competition etc. When fishing becomes primarily a competitive sport it becomes the antitheses of that.
