slooooow fishing
has anyone been able to find some good fishing. personally, 6 lakes later and countless hours has equalled 8 fish. needless to say, the fishing has been tough. i figured us frustrated fisherman can shed some light on what each of us has encountered and just maybe one of us can cash in something that worked for someone else on here... trying to kill the boredom with stories and dreams of catching good bass again, sooner than later hopefully.

Lol.. I have fished two tourneys so far. The first one, the lake was in the parking lot the week prior and was sucked to high heavens and 9 out of 49 weighed in a fish. Our 2nd tourney, the lake was up 10feet in 24 hours. 6 out of 39 weighed in a fish. It's been terrible for everyone. Btw, I'm not one of those that weighed any in

which lakes have you fished the tourneys on? I really want to get to rough again since that is my home lake but will probably go to patoka this weekend being it is the most stable lake within a reasonable distance currently

I'm having it slow too. Went to Guntersville for 4 days and caught 4 bass. I talked to a lot of locals who said the fishing hadn't been very good this year.
Went to cedar creek today and got skunked.
I think I'll wait until I hear that they are biting before I get back on the water.

I have only been out twice so for everywhere is jacked! caught fish both times out but was very slow going its killing me!

Got skunked at Lake Jericho. couldn't even manage 1 bullhead. Did see several jumps in the upper area. Could have been carp. Gotta hit bass in the face when it's this muddy.

I fished Dale a few weeks ago and wore them out. I have been on Cumberland once due to work and time available and it was as jacked up as I have seen in years, maybe ever. I still caught some but couldn't even get to where I wanted to fish because of trash and debris.
I echo what you guys are feeling we could go a month without rain and be fine.

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one having issues. I fished a small lake in Indiana today and burned them up on jig and pig and spinner baits. Even caught a crappie on a crank bait lol. It was interesting seeing how far behind the landscape was as far as changing stages like budding and green leaves. The water was 64' degrees and the season seemingly 3 weeks behind. I really wonder if the fish are as messed up as the seasons. The fish in this lake were still prespawn fanning and hitting hard! I'm hoping being that the landscape is slower to change in Indiana this year, the fish are on the same schedule and are preparing to spawn just now with the warm water.... guess I'll find out tomm. Sure not missing anything here in KY

Fished Barren on Sun, Mon, Tue. Sunday and Monday were the better days. Had 3 keepers Sunday, 6 on Monday. Another boat with us had a good 4.5pd off of a spinnerbait. They also caught them on Monday. Tuesday caught short ones and one slot. The lake is 10ft. over Summer pool. It is fishing hard, but was able to catch em on a shakey head. Threw spinnerbaits, jigs with no avail. Lake temps were 65 to 68 degrees. Alot of trash on the lake. Main lake clear to 2 to 3 feet. Creeks are murky and get stained as you go further. The night hybrid bite was not good at all.
