I remember the cold war, and the "put your head as far between your legs as you can, and kiss yer butt goodbye" Fall out shelters. No doubt about it....anymore anything can be used as an excuse to raise fuel prices. A storm, a statement by a gubmnet official and on and on...
As far as Nukes go I would rather work toward stopping a country like Iran from having them if possible...heck they may have them now?!?!? But I wouldn't give up the fight to stop them.
i don't like being the police of the world but to an extent we have to work with countries. What bothers me the most is we either pick a fight or react to an attack and then we put the gloves on. If we would just destroy the enemy and get it over with I think we would be better off.
My personal opinion and hope is we won't see them used again. It's still not comforting to know some of these radical countries have them or are working toward having them.
