Found out from a very nice person at KY Dam Marina that a map is put out by the KY Dept of Fish and Wildlife that shows FISH ATTRACTORS and where they were placed. Here are 2 links that will help you very much if you have never fished this lake or do not fish it very often.

KY Lake Fish Attractors map = https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer...8.kAIRxyOxseSs

Many other KY lake maps = http://fw.ky.gov/Education/Pages/Dep...ttractors.aspx

I'd try Sledd creek. It's real close to Ky. Dam

That time of year is crankbait pullin time for White Crappie ... while they're out roaming around under the Shad schools. Pulling a Bandit 300, Arkie crank, Flicker Shad, or the like ... either on a long line (trolling) or with several ounces of weight in front (pushing/pulling) ... at speeds of 1.5 to 1.8mph

Pushing/pulling jigs with 2" plastics under 1/2 to 3/4oz weights at slower speeds of 0.5 to 0.8mph may also produce fish. Some are even known to tip the jig/plastic body with a large minnow.

But, the key factor is to find a stretch of Shad schools and run your baits below the schools ... picking up the aggressive feeders on each pass through the stretch.
