    Agree

That is the main reason I don't watch very much football anymore. My car radio is set to NPR, and I subscribe to Netflix. The news is internet. It's a shame when you pay for cable or satellite, and are still forced to watch peddlers pushing their wares.

I don't care for them on the you tube channels I subscribe to but it's usually a 5 second wait to skip the ads. Necessary evil that's for sure.
I DVR a lot of the shows I like to watch so I can zip through the commercials. I'm so spoiled now!!! Hahahaha

I'm a Prime member for sure because I shop Amazon and see the movies as a bonus.

Now Netflix is a different thing for me. I subscribe for a few months watch all the shows that they added and then unsubscribe. Before long they toss free junk at you to return.

Recently (within the past month) both of my mom's TV's went out on her. I bought her a new Sony Bravia for her back bedroom so that she could watch TV in bed at night. Then her other living room TV went out and I got her another bigger Sony Bravia TV for that room. Both of them have a NetFlex button on the remote controls.

Now when I use the remote home button I can get U tube on the TV's. Pretty cool watching my favorite U tube videos on the Bigger 40" TV. Well it's bigger than my 23" Computer screen.

I had trouble with Windows 10 updates today but got that figured out. It's always something with these computers.

Now they are putting computers inside my tv?

Used to be I only had time during the commercials to go p-p or grab another drink.

Now, I can mow the lawn, wash the truck, and paint half the den without missing any portion of the next segment of my show.

    Brilliant....simply brilliant.

    Smile Whats TV?

Mie has not been turned on for three days now. I WONT WATCH TV THAT I PAY FOR, THATS ONLY SHOWING COMMERCIALS IT SEEMS. I'm not in the market for a car, I'm to old and finally smart enough to know that bachlor hood is a reward. thank God for netflix, amazon prime, and hulu. In the car, its NPR, or cds. My E book keeps me occupied. There is no more night or day, dessert at any time. Booze for breakfast. Got a giant bottle of tylonol, which may be part of my estate. All I want is topless merry maids to clean my house once a week!

nothing like the DVR, it cuts a 2 hour movie in half, or close I've really never timed it, but skipping the ads sure speeds it up for sure.

When I first opened up the box I didn't know that there were TWO DVDs inside. I picked the one with the extra bonus material and could not figure out why the movie was not there. It was my first time trying to play a DVD on my new Notebook Computer's DVD player and I was not familiar with the DVD Movie Software so that sort of threw me off for a while. I finally figured out that the other DVD was in the Box on the other side of a flap inside the box. Once I got that figured out I just put the DVD in my regular DVD player that's connected to my TV. I know how that works and was able to watch the movie in PEACE with no commercials. Man I wish I could do that all the time.

I'm not up to date using the new technology or things like Netflex. I guess that's how it's going to be.

And yes even U Tube now makes you watch a commercial before you can see the Video that you want. But on U Tube you can skip the commercial after 10 second or so. Not so on some of the web sites I frequent. My local news paper use to be free to read online but not they want to charge a subscription and make you identify yourself before you can read the paper online or make comments on the articles. And now they start a video automatically as I'm trying to read a few of the articles that are still free. See they didn't get as many Clicks when they went to the subscription as a lot of people just stopped going there so now they put a few articles on their web site that one can read without a subscription in order to entice a few more ClICKS on their web site. Now about 2/3 of the articles are locked and can't be read or commented on without a subscription. Sneaky little men they are. But the stupid movie player starts up without even clicking on the start button and that's what bugs me the most. I have to search (scroll) around on the page to figure out where the movie is playing and then I find that they lock it so you can't pause it or turn it off until the commercial is over. I've got some choice words for those guys that program a web page that way but I can't say them in here.

Thank god there are other local media outlets that don't pull that stuff on their web site.

And for all you folks that have Time Warner, and have the silver controller, there are seom "magic" codes that you can setup to jump 30 seconds forward and 15 seconds back..........so with those, you can generally jump the necessary number of times, and jump to the exact start of the next movie segment.

    It works AWESOME.

    Later,

That sounds great. Are these cheat codes on a website or will they tell you if you call?
