After I posted on here I went to Google earth and found sapps under Oakland lake. When you zoom in on it it look like they may have added a ramp, saw two boats on the water and a truck and trailer in the parking lot. I wounder if Mr Duggen still owns it and still sells keys.

so i've really been interested in in trying beaver lake. i live in shelbyville so it isn't to far of a drive for me. just curious what is worth trying to catch there? i've heard it's a good panfish lake. what about bass? and are there boat restrictions? i thought i read it was a trolling motor only lake but from looking at the map that would be a long haul to get to certain areas.

There are plenty of eager bass in Beaver but they tend to run on the small side. I fished it all my life its harder now to catch a 15" keeper than it ever was (for me). There is no launch fee and the lake is idle speed only for motors larger than 10hp.

Thanks. So how long would it take to idle from one end of the lake to the other?
