I appreciate the input. The electrical cord issue was what i was having trouble with....never thought of heat shrink.
Unfortunately, don't have a slip so will need to figure something else out. Thanks again.

Get a longe piece of hose, tubing or whatever, hang something on one end heavy enough to sink it,get you one of those drill powered pump from harbor freight, hook to cordless drill, they pump pretty good, your not pumping from 40 feet ,your pumping just from surface, pysics will keep the pipe full from the bottm, this is clear as mud I know, your getting cool water from deep but only pumping it from the surface and up
oh boy! never thought of using the drill pump for that purpose! i have one that i used to pump the water off the pool cover and they are pretty effective pumps.Get a longe piece of hose, tubing or whatever, hang something on one end heavy enough to sink it,get you one of those drill powered pump from harbor freight, hook to cordless drill, they pump pretty good, your not pumping from 40 feet ,your pumping just from surface, pysics will keep the pipe full from the bottm, this is clear as mud I know, your getting cool water from deep but only pumping it from the surface and up
we usually pump deep cold water at the slip but on occasion we will pump deep water at the place we are catching bait to avoid disturbing the slip neighbors, its quiet enough but it keeps things to a minimum if we just push off and troll away from the bedroom window next door.
the drill method would be great. i am going to try it asap
Probably have to hold the drill next to surface to get it going, then pull up to Hubbell any keep drilling
Gunnel not hunnel
How about a couple bags of ice and some of this stuff?
