Looking into going to taylorsville in a couple weeks and drifting up some decent blue cats. Anyone have any tips on a good place to start? Depth of the thermocline? Any information at all?

currently 14ft above Summer Pool & being pulled approx 1ft/day ... so it "might" be back down to normal levels by that time, weather permitting.

don't know much about Blue Cats ... but I have caught Channels on Shad that I cast netted, then fished them under slip floats at about 6ft deep ... right out in front of the first pocket down from the point, on the left bank as you turn right going towards the dam from Settlers Trace. That's been many years ago, though, and not this late in the year.
